Restocked the Kitchen
Over the weekend I traveled to Houston Texas to pass out the bowls I made for my "Throw 100" project. The event I went to was held by a wonderful group of women called "IF." Their project was a community outreach to restock kitchens of flood victims. People came to the facility and were given kitchen equipment, as well as serving and dinning goods. There were close to 100 families and I gave each of the households one of my bowls. The bowls feature a Texas outline in a variety of colors. Most people were clearly still in the healing and rebuilding process. Some picked their bowls color based on the designs of homes that they were waiting to be rebuilt. I was completely overwhelmed with the response from the families and individuals. My emotions were wrenched as I watched people cry, smile, hug and share. God was present that day and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to my project. Thank you to everyone who donated to my project, I couldn't have done this without yall's support.
